Zacharias Kunuk Workshop and Screening

Jan 19, 2017

Zacharias Kunuk, director of Atanarjuat (The Fast Runner), will be coming into Winnipeg on March 4-5, 2017 to screen his new feature film Maliglutit (Searcher) and to have one-on-one feedback sessions with Indigenous filmmakers who would like some advice and feedback from an experienced director. All you need is a project that you are working on and lots of questions.

Each personalized one-on-one session is 30 minutes long. These blocks are available for Sunday, March 5, 11 AM – 2:30 PM.  These classes are free to any Manitoba Indigenous filmmaker. Only six spots available, via an application process.

If you are interested in being a part of this rare opportunity, please send an email to mark@winnipegfilmgroup.com with a brief description of your film project in development and one question you would like to ask Zacharias.

Also, Zacharias requested that we offer 40 free tickets to the March 4th / 7PM screening of Maliglutit to any Indigenous individual who has attended an Aboriginal Collective meeting in the past two years. Please send mark@winnipegfilmgroup.com an email requesting a ticket.

There will be a reception following the March 4th screening up in the Black Lodge Studio. All are welcome.

We acknowledge the support of the Winnipeg Foundation and Film Training Manitoba in this endeavour.
