WFG welcomes new Cinematheque Operations Manager

Dec 1, 2016

We are thrilled to welcome David Knipe to our team at Cinematheque as the new Operations Manager.

A lifelong obsession with film has led David Knipe to a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies from the University of Manitoba, guest lecturing high school film studies courses, and working with film festivals in different capacities including organization, programming, and serving on festival juries.

Most recently, he acted as the Logistics Coordinator for the Gimli Film Festival and the movie buyer for McNally Robinson Booksellers. His film interests include alternative exhibition practices, contemporary Canadian film, 70’s American film, world cinema, and personal essay film.

The Operations Manager looks after the quality of the Cinematheque experience, including the daily operation, projection, venue rentals, sponsorships and ad sales. Contact David at david@winnipegfilmgroup.com, (204) 925-3456 ext 106 to provide feedback on your Cinematheque experience, as well as related to venue rentals, sponsorships and ad sales.

David’s regular office hours will be Monday and Wednesday – Friday, 10pm – 6pm. His office is in Room 018 in the basement of Artspace.
