Cinematheque is hiring new part-time box office staff to begin training in April.

Job Description:

The Box Office Staff Member position is the initial point of contact for our Cinematheque patrons. The main objective within the role is to assist and support patrons with their box office and concession purchases, while ensuring a clean and safe space for both employees and patrons alike. The Box Office Staff Member will be a good team member who is knowledgeable of Cinematheque products and services, as well as friendly, courteous, and engaging with patrons.

The Box Office Staff Member position is the initial point of contact for our Cinematheque patrons. The main objectives are as follows:

  • Be a strong, contributing team member
  • Greet patrons upon entry as well as taking and preparing orders
  • Assist and support patrons with their box office and concession needs
  • Ensure a clean and safe space for both employees and patrons alike
  • Ensure all concessions are well maintained and stocked up for the shift ahead
  • General cleaning duties

Qualities we are seeking in the Box Office Staff Member are as follows:

  • Good team member/ works well with others
  • Knowledgeable of Cinematheque products and services
  • Friendly, courteous, and engaging with patrons
  • Passion for film and/or other forms of artistry
  • People person
  • Responsible and able to commit to a flexible schedule
