CHANGES UPCOMING TO PRODUCTION GRANTS

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the WFG will be re-structuring the <a href="https://www.winnipegfilmgroup.com/production_fund.aspx">Production Fund</a> and <a href="https://www.winnipegfilmgroup.com/first_film_fund.aspx">First Film Fund</a> programs. The updated guidelines will be available by early October 2011.

JAIMZ ASMUNDSON’S FILM THE MAGUS WINS AWARD IN BRAZIL

Congratulations to WFG member Jaimz Asmundson and his short film <em><strong>The Magus</strong>, </em>which was awarded Best Artistic Contribution at the 2011 Lume International Film Festival.

EQUIPMENT FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT

Yesterday, the Government of Canada announced a contribution of $50,000 to the Winnipeg Film Group through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund of the Department of Canadian Heritage.
