Documentary Cinematography Workshop With Jesse De Rocquigny

 

Saturday, July 8th | 10am – 6pm | WFG Black Lodge, 304-100 Arthur Street

 

*Note: This in-person workshop is limited to 12 participants. While masks are no longer required to be worn in indoor public spaces in Manitoba, individuals are recommended to wear a mask in our Production Centre.

 

This one day documentary cinematography course will give participants the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of capturing documentary subjects in action and in an interview setting. Topics will include, how to shoot sequences and coverage as a solo operator, what the director/DP relationship is in a documentary setting, how to work with multiple camera operators and much more! Participants will have hands-on experience with industry standard equipment as well as how to light an interview. This workshop is aimed at individuals that are interested in the fast-paced and exciting world of documentary filmmaking. Never miss the action again after taking this workshop!

 

Jesse de Rocquigny is an independent filmmaker and cinematographer from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies at the University of Winnipeg in 2018. He is currently working as the In-House DOP for Wookey Films. Jesse has cumulatively shot 39 episodes of documentary television as well as a feature length documentary. Jesse has also DP’d dozens of narrative projects; short films, music videos, a web-series and a feature film.
