Yorkton Film Festival line-up announced

The Winnipeg Film Group is pleased to announce that three films from our distribution catalogue have been selected for Yorkton Film Festival (May 25-28, 2017).

YFF is Canada’s first film festival, established in 1947 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

Amanda Strong’s short animation, Four Faces of the Moon, is competing in the Aboriginal Award category, while Ingrid & the Black Hole by Leah Johnston is nominated in the Short Subject (Fiction) category. Other Side of the 49th: The Garry Sawatzky story, a documentary by Ervin Chartrand about a convicted murderer recruited to the Canadian Football League, will screen in the Documentary History & Biography category.
