Congratulations to the Winnipeg Film Group’s 2022 MFM First Film Fund, Spring 2022 MFM Production Fund and Spring 2022 MFM Marketing Fund Recipients!

 

WFG 2022 MFM First Film Fund Recipients

We are excited to announce that two emerging filmmakers received the following funding as part of the 2022 cycle of the MFM First Film Fund:

Jessie Moar was awarded $2,000 in cash, $2,000 in WFG services and $1,250 in William F. White in- kind rentals for their short film “Flatlands”.

Sidney Phommarath was awarded $2,000 in cash and $2,000 in WFG services for their short film “Cellars Market”.

A total of 21 submissions were received for this cycle of the award, and juried by a peer assessment committee.

WFG 2022 Spring MFM Production Fund Recipients

We are excited to announce the following recipients as part of the 2022 cycle of the MFM Production Fund:

Maggie Collins was awarded $2,000 in cash, $2,000 in WFG services and $1,250 in William F. White in- kind rentals for “Silver Moon”.

MC de Natividad was awarded $2,000 in WFG services and $1,250 in William F. White in-kind rentals for “Bumalik”.

Tavis Putnam was awarded $2,000 in cash and $1,250 in William F. White in-kind rentals for “A Social”.

Stephanie Sy was awarded $2,000 in cash and $1,250 in William F. White in-kind rentals for “Knots”.

Aaron Zeghers $2,000 in WFG services and $1,250 in William F. White in-kind rentals for “Possible Worlds”.

A total of 10 submissions were received for this cycle of the award, and juried by a peer assessment committee.

WFG Spring 2022 MFM Marketing Fund Recipients

We are excited to announce the following recipients as part of the 2022 Spring Cycle of the WFG MFM Marketing Fund:

Christina Hajjar was awarded $750 for “Don’t Forget the Water”.

Tavis Putman was awarded $750 for “A Social”.

Vince Tang was awarded $250 for “Presence”.

Karen Tusa was awarded $250 for “Richard the Third”.

The applicants were juried by a peer assessment committee.
