Alain Delannoy’s short film, “THE TALK”: TRUE STORIES ABOUT THE BIRDS & THE BEES will screen at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, which runs April 19-30 in New York City.
Delannoy’s film, which recently won a WFG Windy Award in the Best Animation/Experimental category, was one of 57 short films (out of a record 4,385 submissions) selected for this year’s festival. It is included as one of eight films in the only animated shorts program of the festival, curated by Whoopi Goldberg and showcasing “imaginative storytelling and captivating craft,” according to the official Tribeca announcement released on Wednesday.
The full lineup can be found here and here.
Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in efforts to revitalize lower Manhattan after the World Trade Center attacks. Since then, the festival has “evolved into a destination for creativity, reimagines the cinematic experience, and explores how art can unite communities” (Tribeca Film Festival 2017 Shorts Programs Release).
Congratulations to Alain!
