It was announced on Monday, December 6, 2010 that Negativipeg, directed by Matthew Rankin and produced by Walter Forsberg, will screen at the world renowned SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL in early 2011.
Negativipeg tells the story of Rory Lepine, who shot to Herostratic fame in 1985 when he attacked Winnipeg rock legend Burton Cummings with a beer bottle in a North End 7-Eleven.
The short film, distributed by the WFG, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, and screened at the Whistler Film Festival in early December. It will be only one of six International Documentary Shorts at SUNDANCE this year. The festival?will be held in Park City, Utah January 20-30, 2011.
