WFG MEMBER FILM TO SCREEN AT ROTTERDAM

Dec 19, 2008

The Winnipeg Film Group is pleased to announce that Carole O’Brien’s short film Going going gone will be screening at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) held between 21 January – 01 February 2009.

The film was one of 25 shorts commissioned as part of the Silverscope program, in honour of the 25th anniversary of the WFG’s Cinematheque. Silverscope had its world premiere at Cinematheque in March 2008.

The IFFR, celebrating its 38th edition in 2009, is one of the larger film festivals in Europe, alongside Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Locarno. The film festival is not only famous for showing diverse short and feature length films but it is also famous for being a visitor-friendly one. The screenings, panels and after-parties attract a myriad of cultural lovers from all over the Netherlands and abroad.
