Two short films from the Winnipeg Film Group distribution catalogue have been selected to screen at this year’s Hot Docs, the largest documentary film festival in North America. Kristin Snowbird’s SWEAT and THE TALK by Alain Delannoy are included in the 2017 program, taking place from April 27 to May 7 in Toronto.

SWEAT is Snowbird’s metaphorical and poetic reinterpretation of the sweat lodge ceremony, a beautiful event that cannot be documented.

“THE TALK” TRUE STORIES ABOUT THE BIRDS & THE BEES is an animated comedy recreating, in all their awkwardness, individuals’ memories of “the talk.”

The full Hot Docs line-up can be explored here.

Congrats to Kristin and Alain!
