MFM Production Fund

The Winnipeg Film Group’s MFM POST-PRODUCTION FUND is designed to assist Winnipeg Film Group members in the development of their artistic careers by providing support towards the post-production and production of film projects in the form of cash and services awards.
This fund is awarded twice per year. -
MFM First Film Fund

The Winnipeg Film Group’s (WFG) Manitoba Film and Music (MFM) FIRST FILM FUND is designed to assist aspiring/beginning filmmakers make their first film. This fund provides up to $2,000 in cash and $2,000 in WFG services towards a short film or video project (5-20 minutes long). This fund supports films in narrative, experimental, documentary or hybrid/cross-genre.
The fund is geared to those who are making their first film outside the purview of media arts training and/or practical experience in the industry, and awarded once per year. -
MFM Marketing Fund

The Winnipeg Film Group’s MFM MARKETING FUND (funded by Manitoba Film & Music) is designed to assist Manitoba filmmakers and media artists in the marketing and promotion of their films. The marketing of a film is a very important component of filmmaking, and a well thought out plan may help in the overall success of the film. Filmmakers with completed or near completed films can apply for financial assistance to contribute to distribution/marketing materials and activities such as DVDs, web design, film and video screening copies, ads, entry fees and travel to markets and festivals.
This fund is awarded twice per year. -
MOSAIC Fund for BIPOC women, non-binary, and 2-Spirit emerging artists

The Winnipeg Film Group’s Mosaic Film Fund is a production support and film mentorship program to support women, non-binary, and 2-Spirit BIPOC emerging artists to produce a first or second independent short film or video.
This fund is awarded once per year.

MFM Hothouse Award for Creative Development

The Manitoba Film Hothouse Award is designed for an established Manitoba filmmaker to develop their career by providing them with this award for self-directed development.
This award includes $10,000 in cash, $5,000 in Winnipeg Film Group (WFG) services and a WFG General Membership and WFG Production Add-On. Additionally, the award-recipient will be provided with a special retrospective screening of their work as a director-creator at the WFG Cinematheque.
This fund is awarded once per year. -
