John Paizs films featured at Glasgow Film Festival

Jan 27, 2017

On February 16, the Glasgow Film Festival, in association with Matchbox Cineclub will be presenting two John Paizs’ films! John will travel to Scotland to introduce both Crime Wave and Springtime in Greenland.

Crime Wave, John’s 1985 feature film, is considered by many as a Canadian cult classic. Springtime in Greenland, one of John’s most popular short films was recently selected as an Essential 150 Canadian film and is screening across Canada as part of this cinematic celebration.

In December the WFG released The Three Worlds of Nick DVD featuring Springtime in Greenland and we also sell Crime Wave on DVD. All of John’s films have been recently digitally restored from the film elements and look and sound fantastic!

For more info on the festival check out their website and follow Matchbox Cineclub on twitter at @MatchboxCine

For more info on any of John Paizs’ films please contact Monica Lowe at monica@winnipegfilmgroup.com or at 204-925-3456 x103
