Join Winnipeg Film Group’s Director of Distribution, Jillian Groening, on October 8 for a free virtual workshop all about the Manitoba Film & Music (MFM) Marketing Fund! A well-thought-out marketing strategy is crucial to your film’s overall success, and this session is designed to help Manitoba filmmakers and media artists get their completed (or near-completed) projects out to the world.
The MFM Marketing Fund provides up to $750 in financial assistance to help WFG members cover essential distribution and promotional costs—including festival submission fees, DCP creation, captioning and subtitles, advertising materials, and travel to markets. During this workshop, Jillian will walk you through the submission criteria, eligible costs, required application materials, and what the selection committee looks for in a strong marketing plan.
Whether you’re preparing for a festival run or looking to create better promotional materials, this session will give you the tools you need to apply with confidence.
