During the 2014 edition of our Gimme Some Truth Documentary Festival, Evan Husney (the then Creative Director of the Alamo Drafhouse’s Drafthouse Films Distribution Company) gave a case study on the Marketing & Distribution tactics used on the spectacular worldwide release of “The Act of Killing” -which included global press, online bittorrent release, free play across Indonesia and ultimately garnered the film a 2014 Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary.
