Winnipeg Film Group often does tours of our Production Centre for groups of students, organizations, and anybody else who might want to learn more about what we do.

Our tours provide an inside view of how the Film Group operates, our facilities, and equipment rentals. We are happy to answer any questions, and provide advice based on what stage of your filmmaking journey you or your students are in. These tours typically last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on your availability, how in depth you’d like to go, and your group size.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us with various tasks within the film group, and we are always happy to share any opportunities we come across with our list of volunteers as well.

When volunteering within the Winnipeg Film Group, volunteers are eligible to earn production credits the equivalent of $15.50 per hour worked when approved by production center staff. These credits can be applied towards equipment and facility rentals as long as you have a valid membership with a Production Add-On.

Earned production volunteer credits can be used by the member who has earned the credits or be transferred to another current production center member (with a current Production Add-On). Accrued volunteer credits expire automatically after one year, or on expiry of membership; in the event a member lets their membership lapse for more than one month, any accumulated credits automatically expire.

Need volunteers or talent for your film shoot or event? We can put you in contact! We have plenty of people with a wide variety of skills on our volunteer list, all it takes is a General Membership, and then we can get you the people you need.
