The Winnipeg Film Group (WFG) is committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all. Members, staff, Board, collaborators, program participants, patrons, and facility or equipment renters are expected to abide by the WFG’s Safer Spaces Policy.
By entering WFG spaces or participating in any WFG program, you agree to uphold the guidelines set forth in this policy. We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment for individuals of all gender identities, abilities, ages, cultures, and sexualities.
As such, discrimination, harassment, or disrespectful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
We do not tolerate violence, threats, bullying, invasion of personal space, religious or cultural intolerance, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, sizeism, aggressive language or behavior.
We reserve the right to remove anyone who fails to comply with these guidelines to safeguard the well-being of the WFG community.
These expectations extend beyond physical spaces to include online and digital communications. Disrespectful behaviors through social media or email are equally unacceptable.
We expect everyone in the WFG community to:
– Act with respect and empathy toward others;
– Engage thoughtfully and respectfully with one another;
– Honour personal boundaries, both physical and emotional;
– Acknowledge and respect individual identities, experiences,
and pronouns.
This policy is a living document and is ever-evolving.
In cases of serious or repeated violations, membership may be revoked, and individuals may be indefinitely banned from WFG spaces and programs, including funding programs.
