The 33rd Hamburg International Short Film Festival, taking place June 6-12 this year, will include several films from the WFG collection.
We are pleased to announce that films by Karen Asmundson, Andrew Lima, Leslie Supnet and Aaron Zeghers have been selected as part of the Deframed competition of experimental works. The full lineup can be viewed here.
This program is compellingly described on the festival’s website: “This current first Deframed edition presents detailed studies in formalism, post-colonial expeditions and humorist interventions. Listen to the voices of the past, decipher cryptic messages, meet mysterious protagonists. And follow a subjective camera until the shiny surface of Full HD is distorted by glitches and the nostalgia of analogue film material determines the framing. Thus we return to where it all began.”
Congratulations Karen, Andrew, Leslie and Aaron!
