Two WFG Films at Breakthroughs 2019

May 9, 2019

We’re thrilled to announce that Allison Stevens’ Love Starved: More Than Fat and Erin Hembrador’s Piece of Mind both make their Toronto premiere at Breakthroughs Film Festival 2019.

Established in 2011, Breakthroughs Film Festival is a not for profit organization dedicated to supporting emerging filmmakers who identify as women, trans, or non-binary.

Love Starved tells the story of a woman takes an introspective journey through childhood journals, artwork, and medical records to overcome her shame about her body.

Piece of Mind tells the story of an elderly man living with dementia invites an unexpected guest over for lunch.

Love Starved and Piece of Mind both screen on Saturday, June 8th starting at 2pm.

Congratulations to Allison and Erin on this great honour!
