Five shorts from the WFG Distribution catalogue have been added to the line-up of the Alliance Française French Film Festival!
The festival, which takes place at WFG’s Cinematheque this week (March 15-18), showcases 8 feature-length comedies in French (with English subtitles).
On Friday and Saturday, each feature will be preceded by a short comedy.
The 7pm screening on Friday of L’effet aquatique (The Together Project) is paired with Chrystene Ells and Berny Hi’s charming Véronique à vélo.
The second Friday evening film, Le sens de la fête/C’est la vie, will show after Alek Rzeszowski’s Euro fantasy, Dancing in the Club.
Saturday’s matinee will include Matthew Rankin’s ode to Quebec nationalism, Hydro-Lévesque, showing before Jour de fête at 3pm.
Robert Vilar Workbook Vol 1: Golden Vilars, a truly Winnipeg take on The Golden Girls theme song, screens Saturday at 7pm with 21 nuits avec Pattie (21 Nights with Pattie).
BJ Verot and Brad Crawford’s delightful satire Loss of Contact screens Saturday night at 9pm before Au revoir la haut (See you up there).
Nous espérons vous y voir !
