Cinematheque has been operated by the Winnipeg Film Group for over 35 years. It is a unique theatre situated in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District that is devoted to screening innovative Canadian and world cinemas. We provide artist talks, panel discussions and special events to feed the minds of cinephiles and to promote the art of cinema.

Reduced Membership: $15
For students and seniors.

Individual Membership: $25

Family Membership: $50
Discount for 5 people living at same address

Unlimited Annual Membership: $125
Provides unlimited admissions to regular screenings during a yearly period (some special events and workshops excluded) This is a non-transferable membership. Photo ID is required for admission.

our location

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
