Synopsis

In Manitoba, capital punishment was finally stopped in the mid-sixties. Before then, the last of the permanent gallows ever constructed in Canada still stood at the Headingley Jail. This documentary narrates, with unflinching honesty, what really happened during the time these gallows were active.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.
