The 9th Annual Winnipeg Underground Film Festival / WUFF 9 will share contemporary, lens-based work over three days, running from May 27th-29th, 2022, at the Winnipeg Film Group’s Cinematheque theatre, in addition to making a selection of our programming accessible online at winnipeguff.com. Guest curators include la lumière collective from Montreal and local curator Mahlet Cuff. Toronto-based collaborative artists Parastoo Anoushapour, Faraz Anoushapour, and Ryan Ferko will present a program of their work and lead one of two workshops – their’s will be offered online only. Lily Jue Sheng will be teaching the second workshop, in-person. This 2-day workshop is an Intro to 16mm film + in-camera editing presented in partnership with the Winnipeg Film Group. Lastly, WUFF has partnered with BlackFlash Expanded to offer written responses about our festival programming that will launch online, on both of our websites. See you in May! We can’t wait!
