Psycho Goreman

Available to rent for $12.99
January 22 - February 25
Directed by Steven Kostanski
2020, Canada, 95 min

This title is available to rent via Cinematheque at Home for $12.99. This is not only an opportunity for our patrons to see new cinema, but is an important way that they can continue to support independent film during this pandemic with 50% of all sales supporting our theatre.

Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord. Using a magical amulet, they force the monster to obey their childish whims, and accidentally attract a rogues’ gallery of intergalactic assassins to small-town suburbia.

Reviews

How do you best describe Psycho Goreman? It is what you get when you have banished Skeletor from Eternia, pit him against a galaxy of creatures influenced by the Japanese tokusatsu genre, then slap it around with a bounty of comedic gore and deliver it all with underhanded and absurd comedy. Oh. Then you plop in a plucky young girl who bends to no one and literally has the fate of the world if not the entire universe in her hand... This is the kind of genre cinema that we dream of.
