*Note:  This in-person workshop is limited to 6 participants. While masks are no longer required to be worn in indoor public spaces in Manitoba, individuals are recommended to wear a mask in our Production Centre. 

 

Learn editing and graphics with local editor, filmmaker and community organizer Sara Bulloch! This 2 day workshop will cover editing in Premiere Pro and graphics in After Effects. Depending on participants prior experience, Sara can cover basics to more intermediate techniques. Here’s a general overview of what she’s thinking:

 

Day 1 – Editing with Premiere Pro

– Premiere Pro basics – project file, editing, other capabilities (audio, colour, etc)

– Overview of editing procedures – syncing, multicams, proxies, etc.

– Editing a scene

– Overview of editing techniques

 

Day 2 – Graphics with After Effects

– After Effects basics – interface, keyframing, other capabilities

– Infographic activity with shapes, movement, masking, etc

– Brief overview of the million billion things you can do in After Effects

– Muzzle flash VFX activity – making gun go boom

 

Sara Bulloch is an editor, filmmaker and community organizer in Winnipeg, Canada. She’s a full-time editor and graphics artist with Farpoint Films and writes/directs independent film projects. Many of her films explore themes of identity, mental health and relationships, screening with Gimli Film Festival, the8fest, Les Main Gauches, and more. She also organizes OurToba Film Network, a community group for women, non-binary and gender diverse Manitobans in film. www.sarabulloch.ca

The Winnipeg Film Group reserves the right to cancel any course where the minimum registration has not been met. Anyone registered for a course that has been cancelled is eligible for a full refund, Cancelled course fees may also be used towards any other Winnipeg Film Group training programs.
