Directed by Joseph Kahn
2017, USA, 120 min

Produced by Eminem and directed by world-renowned music video director Joseph Kahn, this is a go-for-the-jugular, hilarious look inside the competitive world of rap battles. Bodied is the satirical story of Adam Merkin, a progressive grad student who accidentally becomes a battle rapper whose success breeds outrage. The film stars Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally, The Thinning, and American Vandal), Jackie Long (Idlewild, ATL), Shoniqua Shondai (Sing It!, The Fosters), Walter Perez (The Avengers, Fame), and Rory Uphold (Hella). Also featured are well known battle rappers Dizaster, Dumbfoundead, Hollow Da Don and media personality Charlamagne tha God.

Sponsored by Fourth Quarter Records.

Reviews

Part rap musical, part social satire, with elements of Westerns and kung fu pictures, Bodied is one of the funniest, freest movies of the year.
