Directed by Feargal Ward & Adrian Duncan
2018, Ireland, 64 min
Feargal Ward and Adrian Duncan’s film follows a researcher travelling across Europe, exploring an array of buildings and structures that seem other-worldly. Drawing on the ideas and visions of the great Irish engineer Peter Rice, they explore the hinterlands that gave rise to these structures. Wandering from a quiet Bavarian town, to the inner and outer realms of Paris, a past is sifted through and interlinked with precision and wonder.

Now in its ninth year, the Architecture + Design Film Festival (A+DFF) presents critically acclaimed films focusing on the importance of architecture and design in everyday life. The films cover a range of design-oriented topics from architecture and urban design to graphics and product design. A+DFF is the only festival in Canada devoted solely to architecture and design. This festival is generously supported by The Manitoba Association of Architects, The Winnipeg Foundation, the Faculty of Architecture Endowment Fund (University of Manitoba), and presented in partnership with Urban Idea and the WFG Cinematheque.
