Zizuke and Tevo have lost faith in their dreams, until the day Tevo meets Elisabeth, the long-awaited American tourist, and makes her believe he runs an N.G.O that saves poor African women and children. From there, the two friends will be pulled into a string of lies that will bring them money and lots of trouble.

Plays with Fallou / Directed by Allasane Sy, 2017, Senegal, 30 min, Wolof with English Subtitles / The story of a young man who has been sent from Senegal to London by a marabout linked to an extremist group. Fallou will discover London’s energy, music and people. He will make new friends and eventually make a choice: stay faithful to his marabout or embrace the exciting life of this new city.


The African Movie Festival in Manitoba (AM-FM) is devoted to African themes and issues, especially as they relate to Manitoba, Canada and the world. The annual festival held in Winnipeg celebrates African culture and promotes diversity through cinema. It establishes a platform for dialogue on Afro-Canadian/American issues and it supports the development of young Canadian film talents. A creation of Manitoba African Film Festival Inc., the festival showcases African talents through carefully curated films and generates social, political and economic issues for discourse and entertainment. We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.
