The Black Film Club was built out of the need for space for Black folks in Winnipeg to connect with one another about the art of filmmaking. This club is for Black folks who are filmmakers, movie lovers and all around interests in the medium that is film. The intention of bringing folks together for a way to connect the ever-growing Black film community here in Winnipeg.
The Black film Club’s first meeting will take place on November 24th from 6p-9pm at the Winnipeg Film Group in the Black lodge located on the third floor (#304) of the Art Space building at 100 Arthur Street. We will be getting to know one another, talking about our favourite films, films that participants have made or in the process of making and a space to learn from one another. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

The main entrances of the Art Space Building at Arthur St. and King St. have automatic door push triggers.
The West side entrance off King St. has a wheelchair lift to access the main lobby.
There are two washrooms on the 3rd floor that are private, locking, non-gendered washrooms. These washrooms do not have handrails or automatic doors.
The 1st floor has non-gendered, multi stall washrooms. Washrooms on these floors have wheelchair accessible stalls with handrails, but do not have automatic doors.
