
On Saturday, March 10, 2012, award winning cinematographer, Ellen Kuras (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I Shot Andy Warhol, Blow) will be available to meet with five up-and-coming local cinematographers to inspire and offer feedback on their work. Each cinematographer will have 30 minutes to spend with Ellen. Appointments will be scheduled between 10am and 12:30pm on Saturday March 10, 2012. Interested participants are required to submit an application package (no later than FRIDAY, MAR 2, 2012) including the following:
(1) a recent film or DP reel on dvd
(2) a letter of intent (no more than one page) on the objectives or aspirations for the 30-minute session .
(3) a CV

ABOUT ELLEN KURAS ASC
Ellen Kuras is an award winning cinematographer and an Academy Award nominated Director. Her director of photography credits include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Blow, Summer of Sam, and Away We Go. She has worked with Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, Michel Gondry, Mary Harron and numerous other noteworthy directors. Ellen has earned three Emmy nominations, The Grand Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and is a three time recipient of the Sundance Film Festival’s Best Cinematography Award, an unprecedented achievement. She visits the WFG and Cinematheque to share her incredible knowledge of lighting and cameras in a series of Master Classes as well as introduce her admirable body of work.
