Synopsis
The story takes place on the terrible ice fields of Lake Winnipeg. Unbearably cold and brain-numbed from the swirling arctic winds, the three members of the expedition have an impossible task before them. They are the only survivors from what was once a much larger expedition. They walk in harness across the flat, never-ending expanse � three small dots in a world of white, dragging their lone sledge behind them. At the end of the day�s march, they retire to the cramped confines of their greasy tent, where they write in their expedition diaries � and wait patiently for the end . . .
