As a senior editor for the PBS series Frontline, Steve Audette edits two to three hour-long documentaries per season. Steve will talk about the creative and practical processes of editing a Frontline documentary, how he works with a producer to develop a story arc and how he translates the producers' ideas into a fully realized story.
He'll cover the use of different types of visual systems and sound design to augment story telling. He will also share some of his editing techniques, including some discussion of the use of graphics, music and little-known master level features of the Avid.
