Deborah Schnitzer

Deborah Schnitzer is a writer, educator, academic, and activist who lives and works in Winnipeg. Deborah’s film, life-writing, poetic, and narrative work include her collaboration with Shelagh Carter in the experimental short film narratives rifting/blue and Canoe, and the dance film Resolve. Deborah is currently at work creating a multi-genre piece, the woman who swallowed west hawk lake, which takes as its theme identity theft, loss, and contamination in relation to the Holocaust.
