DISTRIBUTION

The Winnipeg Film Group offers film and video distribution to artists from across Canada with a focus on those from the prairie region including Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, as well as those from the North West Territories and Nunavut.

The Winnipeg Film Group Distribution Department operates with four main objectives:

  1. To develop and expand audiences for Canadian independent film

  2. To provide member filmmakers with increased exhibition opportunities across Canada and around the World

  3. To provide artists a financial return

  4. To assist in the development of the careers of the filmmakers whose work we distribute

This department is dedicated to enabling the unique artistic vision created by film and video makers to be accessible to as broad an audience as possible (regional, national and international), and to educating audiences to the quality of artistic work created by local film and video artists.

As the Winnipeg Film Group is the only prairie-region distribution centre that handles both film and video works, we not only distribute independent film and video works by Manitoba filmmakers, but we also represent the work of filmmakers from across the entire prairie region, and the rest of Canada.

When you distribute your film through the WFG’s Distribution Department your film will be available to local, national and international film festivals, various broadcasters, as well as other film co-ops, cinemas and a variety of other presenting organizations.

The Distribution Department is directed by Monica Lowe and she can be reached by emailing monica@winnipegfilmgroup.com or by phoning +1 204 925-3456 ext. 103.
