CINEMATOGRAPHER'S SERIES: INTRO TO THE CANON DSLR CAMERAS
Over the last couple of years, the advent of HD video capabilities in Digital SLR still cameras has advanced to the point that even professional level productions are using technology that's affordable at a fairly low price point. Recently the final episode of House was shot on a Canon 5D. These cameras offer stunning video, a large sensor approximatley the same size or, exactly the same, as a 35mm frame of film, interchangeable 35mm lenses of all varieties and customizable picture settings. However, these are cameras not intended by their manufacturers to compete with existing high quality video cameras and as a result they have many drawbacks that need to be considered and overcome.
This two-day workshop gives participants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the Canon 7D and T2i, learn the strengths and weaknesses of each, and how to handle post production work flow with footage.Dates: Sat Oct 16 & Sun Oct 17 1pm-5pm
