Filmmaker Jim Sanders worked with the Manitoba Urban Housing Association to create a film that looks at the Aboriginal housing situation. Can art contribute to community building? Winnipeg First Nation: Heart of a Home was created through WITH ART, a public art program of the Winnpeg Arts Council that matches artists with community groups to collaborate on meaningful issues.

“Making Winnipeg First Nation and working closely with the Aboriginal community has reaffirmed my belief in art as a gateway to the heart for all involved, be it the artist, the subject, or the audience. It is a key to unlocking a better future for all in this great city of ours.” - Jim Sanders
