BOARD OF DIRECTORS
At each AGM, five directors are elected to the Board for two year terms. As the Winnipeg Film Group is an artist-run organization, our Board must be principally comprised (over 50%) of practicing filmmakers and video artists.
Only the Winnipeg Film Group general, basic user and full user members are eligible to run for elected director postions. Only Winnipeg Film Group general, basic user and full user members who have been members for at least 60 days are eligible to vote at the AGM.
In addition to the total ten elected director positions, there are four community appointee director positions. These positions are one-year appointments made directly by the Board of Directors.
All directors can remain on the Board only for four consecutive years and must step off the Board for a minimum of one year before being eligible to become a Board director again. The only exception is the immediate Past President, who may remain on the Board as a full voting member for one additional consecutive year. The immediate Past President is an unelected position.
