The Cinema of Guylaine Dionne - Fri Dec 5 / Sat Dec 6

Guylaine Dionne is one of the best directors of the new generation of women filmmakers. A native of the Province of Quebec, Guylaine Dionne has been working steadily in the film and television industry for more than a decade.

Guylaine was a recipient of the 2006 Don Haig Award in celebration of her work as a creator both in fiction and in documentary. She studied film at Concordia University, and has taught Film Production since 2000.

She visits Winnipeg to present a Master Class screening of THE THREE MADELEINE'S, a "Cinema Lounge" introduction to Claude Jutra's KAMOURASKA and the premiere of her new film, WAITRESSES WANTED (SERVEUSES DEMANDES).

A very special Master Class complete with screening. Guylaine will screen her film THE THREE MADELEINE'S and then continue the afternoon with an artist talk discussing her career, films and methods as a French female filmmaker.
  • Cost: All costs include the Saturday 1:00pm Master Class screening and 7:00pm screening
