From developing a strong narrative outline and working with actors through improvisation to shooting the coverage, editing the coverage and finally getting the movie out there for people to see. A hands-on & informational workshop not to be missed!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Sean Garrity is an award winning filmmaker who studied film at York University in Toronto and the Instituto de Arte Cinematografico de Avellanda in Buenos Aires. His first feature film, INerTia, was awarded "Best First Feature" at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival. The Globe & Mail named him one of three "Canadian Filmmakers to Watch" in 2002. His latest feature, Zooey & Adam will premiere in Winnipeg on January 29th .Sean also works as a bass player, having appeared on half a dozen CDs, and performs live most weekends in Winnipeg, where he lives.
